About UsRick and Glyn established Mind Health Development in 2007. It is dedicated to trying to help people to think more positively about their lives, particularly those suffering from stress, anxiety and depression. Rick and Glyn work with a range of individuals and organisations to try to help make a positive contribution to mental health through their cognitive behavioural approach. Thank you for logging on to our website which is designed to offer a host of ideas, including lots of free information and advice. Glyn has also created a free Forum where people can exchange their experiences - we want to build a community of people who are all helping each other on the journey to reduced stress, anxiety and depression, so please join us! The website also features a range of products, which we believe, will help to facilitate the techniques that we use in our daily work. In addition, Mind Health Development offer a series of courses and workshops to both individuals and organisations that are interested in using our cognitive behavioural approach. We also offer training for Counsellors and Occupational Health Professionals who are interested in becoming certified to deliver our workshops. 2009 has seen this particular course become very popular indeed. During the course of his career he has worked extensively in the fields of Crisis Management and Assertive Outreach but has always enjoyed working with therapeutic groups more than anything else. He now teaches health care professionals how to facilitate their own groups whilst carrying his own active case load and is the main project manager for the company. On top of this he still provides services to the NHS which he really enjoys. More recently he has become a guest lecturer at a number of universities for varying courses including the Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing. When asked about his varying career, Glyn claims that the skills he has learned from one job can easily be carried onto the next. As an example he cites his time in Assertive Outreach where he learned the very important art of engagement. He now believes a good sense of humour and a degree of openness will encourage people to take up the challenge of therapy or coaching. And while he keeps it uplifting and fun; clients are more prepared to accept the responsibilities of hard work and dedication to the process of recovery. Glyn is also a season ticket holder at The Wolves and is father to William, Zak and Joshua. His lovely wife Fran allows him to indulge in his favourite hobby, pub quizzing, which might lead him to achieving his goal of winning Mastermind. He feels he has a long way to go yet. Fran Wainwright. Fran joined the company in 2008 in response to the very welcome interest that Mind Health Development was recieving from companies, health trusts and educational establishments.
